Approx. 2220 pupils were schooled at the Oskar-von-Miller-Kassel.
The vocational school forms the core with about 1700 students. 520 students attend our full-time school programs/all-day school programs. In our school work about 80 teachers, two social workers, three secretaries and an administrative coordinator. We see ourselves as an educational institution which acts as a service provider, ie we consider our pupils, students, trainees, training providers and parents as a partner school with whom we work so closely and effectively as possible. We encourage lifelong learning and want to be in the future as a contact partner for further training after the completion of professional training.

The Oskar-von-Miller-school for almost 10 years been working with the Quality Management System Q2E. The QM system Q2E is divided into five areas of quality (input qualities, qualities of the school process, process quality of teaching, outcome or output quality and quality management),
In the last years Oskar-von-Miller-Schule has a lot of experiences for the vocational international projects (COMENIUS, LdV and Erasmus+). Together with our local partners in the companies and in different European countries we are realizing abroad mobilities for our apprentices. We are also hosting organization for our partner’s students.
One focus in the field of pedagogical profile of our school is the introduction / implementation of a "new learning and teaching culture in which learners develop largely self-directed professional skills through self-organized and individual learning (SiL). The aim is not to achieve a joint learning goal in the foreground, but the development of individual strengths of the learner within the given in the curriculum specifications. The tasks carried out in learning arrangements with group and individual working phases to ensure that personal social development of learners is considered.
